Ultrasound Day

Today was "ultrasound day".
This was my second ultrasound; I got a sneak peek at the baby back on December 23 in quick care, but they were unable to print any pictures for me and Jerry was not able to attend. Today was time for the MAIN ultrasound, the OFFICIAL ultrasound, the...well you get it. Today would have been the day that we could find out if we are having a boy or a girl, but as most of you know Jerry and I have promised since the very beginning that this time around we wanted to be surprised and would NOT find out the sex of the baby. We want to do it a little different this time, keep the suspense up, anticipate the big surprise, and drive my family nuts, LOL! I was so worried that I would accidentally see what the baby was. The tech turned the screen when she was ready to peek "down there" and even she was unable to find out...baby kept his/her legs crossed and wasn't gonna let anyone know. We laughed as we were amused that even the baby agrees that keeping his/her identity a surprises is the right thing to do! I love what Jerry said last night to me, "I like not knowing what the baby is yet, just like I wouldn't want to know what my Christmas presents are". Perfect.

PIGGY TALES & 3M DESIGN TEAM!

Received the news yesterday that I've been selected to be on the new Piggy Tales & 3M joint design team! Very very very excited, as I LOVE LOVE LOVE both companies and am really looking forward to working with them. And to add to the totally awesomeness of the whole thing, I'm in some really great company on the team. http://www.piggytales.typepad.com/ Plus, I think it is so cool that the Piggy Tales headquarters is located right here in Las Vegas! This is going to be too much fun :) http://www.piggytales.com/ http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/home_office/home/product_information/scrapbooking_crafts/

Anniversary Cruise, Part 2: CABO

Bienvenidos

Cabo San Lucas!

We had been to Cabo before, so we knew we really wanted to boat out to Lover's Beach, but instead we opted to schedule an excursion which we would not ordinarily get to do if the kid's would have been with us. I have always wanted to do a Zip-Line. I've really been waiting to cross that off my to-do list, so when I found out Cabo has an amazing course, we booked it!

You have got to check out their video!!!

It really shows how AWESOME this place was. We had the most incredibly amazing time!
.......................... ..........................

10 thrilling zip lines over a beautiful canyon. It was so dang fun! We rode tandem too, but I don't have any pics of that. Just took a few at the beginning then left my camera (GASP!) behind to just enjoy the adventure!

And we were glad that our group consisted of only FOUR people, running real smooth and with record time...SOOOOOO...

we double dipped and did a second excursion!

We were still able to make a getaway to Lover's Beach, just as we wished!

Didn't think it was possible, so we were quite happy. The water was absolutely perfect. We loved relaxing together and of course taking some fun pictures. You can see our ship here in the background, anchored in the sea of cortez.

I snapped this one as we toured around Land's End. Love that our ship is in the background again!

Anyway...sorry this took a bit to get Part 2 posted. The boys are sick...Jerry's been sleeping with Ethan on croup duty, and I've been sleeping with Levi on fever and "Mommy, Ouchie" duty. Poor baby doesn't understand why his body hurts. Praying they recover soon, and that the grown-ups don't go under too!

Anniversary Cruise, Part 1

Happy 10th Anniversary to us! I just can not believe we've been married for a decade! Crazy! It has gone by very fast...TIME FIES WHEN YOU'RE HAVING FUN! Seriously, these 10 years have been such a blessing and I can honestly say that it has been almost like a fairy tale. Jerry is an incredible husband, and I am so happy to be sharing my life with him.

OK...so enough with the mushy stuff. Anyway...we took ourselves on a 2nd honeymoon to celebrate, relaxing on a 5-day cruise to Mexico...woohoo! Here is part 1 of a quick cruise overview:

We sailed on Carnival's ELATION, departing from San Diego California. The boys stayed back home with my parents and sisters (thanks guys!!!!!!). My mom did a great job of getting them everywhere they needed to be, between school, gymnastics, totnastics, Toddler Preschool, and Gymboree! Needless to say, it was a wonderful break for us!

We had a little bit of fun at the pool...

Look what Mommy did to me!

Look at what she did to my hair!!!
*
Why, oh why, did I listen to those EVIL people (who shall remain anonymous) who kept saying I should cut my child's beautiful hair? Why would they feed me such cruel ideas? Why would they manipulate me into such a horrible act? WHY!?

OK...I must admit, Levi is as adorable as EVER! And I did realize that he needed a little bit of a break from the hair in his eyes and framed around his face. He was a little sick of all the combing and "styling". So it is just a little break from the long luxurious locks of Levi. Besides, I HATE cutting his hair. I hate it because he hates it. It is NO fun at all. So this way it will be a little while before we have to go through with it again! But I still miss it. I miss it bad!

TWO!

My little baby Levi has celebrated his 2nd birthday now. While I marvel daily at his new accomplishments and constant growth, I'm feeling a sense of loss too. I'm loosing my baby. He's disappearing and a talkative, opinionated, determined, adventurous, little boy is beginning to emerge. I am *SO* making a conscious effort to savor all his remaining babyness. I'm soaking it all in as much as I can. Happy Birthday, my little guy! You are amazing. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, PRECIOUS!
